Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
 

These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by GetKeys Auto Locksmith (“we”, “our”, “us”).
By booking or using our services, you (“the customer”) agree to these terms.
 

2. Services
 

We provide mobile automotive locksmith services including:

  • Car key replacement

  • Spare key cutting

  • Transponder & remote programming

  • Ignition and lock repairs

  • Emergency lockout assistance
     

All services are performed at the customer’s location or agreed service area within Port Elizabeth.
 

3. Pricing & Payment
 

  • All prices are quoted based on vehicle type, key type, location, and required work.

  • Quotes are valid for the specific service requested at that time.

  • Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service, unless otherwise arranged in writing.

  • Accepted payment methods include cash, EFT, or other approved digital payment options.

  • Call-out fees apply and are non-refundable once the technician has been dispatched.
     

4. Deposits
 

Some services may require a deposit, especially for special-order keys or components.

  • Deposits become non-refundable once the parts are ordered, cut, or programmed.
     

5. Customer Responsibilities
 

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate vehicle information (make, model, year).

  • Ensure safe access to the vehicle.

  • Confirm vehicle ownership if required.

  • Notify us of any aftermarket alarms, immobilizers, or prior key issues.
     

We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information provided by the customer.
 

6. Workmanship Warranty
 

All workmanship is covered by a 30-day warranty.
This includes:
 

  • Reprogramming

  • Re-cutting

  • Correction of a fault caused by our work The warranty does not cover:

  • Water damage

  • Battery failure

  • Wear and tear

  • Customer tampering

  • Damage caused by another locksmith or technician

  • Issues caused by faulty vehicle electronics (e.g., immobilizer faults, ECU issues)
     

7. Products & Parts
 

Keys, remotes, shells, and electronic components purchased through GetKeys come with a 7-day defect warranty for manufacturing faults only.
No refund is given for damage caused after delivery.
 

8. Lost or All-Keys-Lost Situations
 

For vehicle situations involving lost or stolen keys:

  • Additional security procedures may be required.

  • Some vehicles may need immobilizer resets or module reprogramming.
    Any extra time or parts needed will be quoted before continuing.
     

9. Limitation of Liability
 

GetKeys Auto Locksmith will not be held liable for:

  • Pre-existing faults in the vehicle’s locks, ignition, ECU, or wiring

  • Aftermarket alarm or immobilizer malfunctions

  • Damages arising from incorrect vehicle information

  • Loss of income, time, or third-party costs

Work is undertaken at the customer’s request and risk.
 

10. Cancellations
 

  • Cancellation before dispatch: no fee.

  • Cancellation after dispatch or on arrival: call-out fee applies.
     

11. Privacy
 

All customer information is handled according to our Privacy Policy and in compliance with POPIA.
 

12. Governing Law
 

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa, specifically applicable in the Eastern Cape.
